The perennial garden was mostly spent and it only took a casual mention before he appeared with the trimmers.
Technically it was schoolwork time, and it really only took him a little over an hour before he had the whole thing cleared, so I told myself it was OK. Too bad that same determination and persistence is not always brought to the table when it is time for our lessons.
Should I take it personally that he doesn't find me as compelling as a garden full of sunshine?
