We ventured back up to Boone for our Christmas tree again this year. Nan was in town and able to join us for the day. It was sunny and looks warm but it was really quite cold and windy. I'm pretty sure snow showers arrived shorty after we loaded into the car headed for home.
We stopped for lunch at the same spot as years past and found that it had undergone a snazzy renovation since our last visit. It was tasty as ever and before long we were off to the tree farm with bellies full of warm soup.
I'm so happy that this adventure has become a part of our holiday tradition. The drive is a bit long but I can't think of a better place to spend a day with the family. It's the perfect way to start December.
